Block Earner Bulletin: Ceasefires, Cost of Living and Rising Rates Mean what for BTC?

09 Apr 20263min

Written by James Coombes

Honestly, there are that many news events these days that it is very difficult to fully understand or predict what it all means for crypto. Especially considering some factors are bullish, while others are bearish. The facts remain that Bitcoin is showing strength at the 65-70k range ever since the beginning of February, these prolonged sideways moves have been seen in cycles before.
April 2024 to October 2024 had very similar characteristics and it lasted roughly 6 months. If we zoom out further to the cooling off of the previous cycle top (~$69k → ~$16k), the consolidation window lasted almost 18 months.
Conversely, we see Strategy and many other large bluechip public companies accumulating Bitcoin. One final datapoint for your Thursday, Ethereum stablecoin supply continues to break records hitting US$180bn just the other day. Paving the way for a potential RWA lead narrative.
Stay safe out there and we hope the Easter Bunny was kind.

Report Calls Securitize 'Picks and Shovels' Play for Tokenisation
Securitize operates as a platform that helps institutions issue, manage, and trade tokenised securities. The company already accounts for roughly 70% of the U.S. tokenisation market, according to the report. Estimates are broad, but analysts project that upwards of $30 trillion could end up flowing through the sector over the next decade. The report touted the tokenisation sector as one of the most "profound shifts" in capital markets since the introduction of electronic trading, with Securitize at the "epicenter" of that shift.
55-Year-Old Asset Manager, Charles Schwab, Teases Spot Crypto Trading
The asset management giant has opened a waitlist for a new "Schwab Crypto" spot crypto trading platform that will allow clients to buy and sell directly. With $12.22 trillion in client assets as of February 2026, Charles Schwab's existing clients are already exposed to crypto through exchange-traded funds (ETFs). CEO Rick Wurster, explained: About 5% of clients have exposure to crypto, but many more likely want true direct crypto ownership. Schwab doesn’t offer that yet, so adding spot crypto could attract more of that demand.
JPMorgan Must Move Faster as Tokenisation Reshapes Finance
JPMorgan CEO, Jamie Dimon, warns that blockchain-based technologies such as tokenisation, stablecoins and smart contracts are emerging as direct competitors to traditional banking and could fundamentally change core functions like payments, trading and asset management. “A whole new set of competitors is emerging based on blockchain, which includes stablecoins, smart contracts and other forms of tokenization,” Dimon wrote, in his annual letter to shareholders. He added that these technologies, “may change the fundamental nature of how all this is done.”
