Crypto Market Overview
Well well well, no two weeks in crypto is ever quiet. Since we last spoke $GME went to the moon, Ethereum ETFs were approved and US Pension Funds now own BTC.
In case you were under a rock in 2022, GameStop (yes the outdated video game store) stocks soared amidst a phenomenon named a short-squeeze. The mastermind behind the plan, known online as Roaring Kitty, has returned from the dead and started posting on Twitter. What does this have to do with crypto? Well if there’s a trend, there’s a memecoin following it. The GME memecoin exploded 1500% in line with it’s NASDAQ counterpart.
Speaking of never quiet, Donald Trump expressed support for Bitcoin and crypto more broadly by exclaiming “my government supports your rights to self custody”. Obviously $MAGA was sent skyward following this news and the felony verdict.
Meanwhile BTC has been slowly creeping onto share markets around the world with Thailand, Australia, Germany, UK & Canada all following the US’s lead.
